HURUNUI RABBIT BOARD.
Ths usual monthly meeting of this Board waa held on May 6; present—Messrs W. O. Rutherford (chairman), W. T. Robinson and T. Chapman. Messrs W. Thomson, J. 0. Huddleston, G. M’Leod and James Henderson wore also present. Messrs .Henderson and M’Lsod’s reports were read and approved. Mr G. D. Greenwood’s letter to the Chairman, resigning hia position aa a member of tha Board, waa read. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Robinson, seconded by Mr Chapman, that Mr Greenwood’s resignation should be accepted with regret, and that the Government should bo asked to appoint Mr G. TA’Rae, of Waipava Downs, to fill the vacancy, and to gazette his appointment. It was decided that a workman should bo employed on tho Clarence fence during the winter at thirty shillings por week. A letter from Mr J. D. Ritchie was read, approving of the removal of tho Himmui fence from the north to the south eida of the North Road, between tho old blacksmith's shop and the Waitohi cutting. Tho Clerk was instructed to call, for tenders for the alteration of the fence, Messrs Rutherford and Chapman being authorised to accept them.
