WORK AND WAGES.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Feb. 12.
On Saturday evening the half-yearly meeting of the Auckland Typographical Association was held. There was a large attendance. The trade report and balancesheet were read and adopted. The Board of Management expressed great pleasure in recording a continuance of trade and prosperity, no doubt partly owing to the increase in the number of orders retained in the city which were previously executed elsewhere. The Board felt assured that a still further impulse will result from a revision of labour. The receipts from all sources amounted to £135, and the expenses to £2l, leaving a balance of £ll4. The report continues“ It is with very great pleasure we have to again record the good feeling and harmony existing between the employers and your Association, and to express the hope that it may long continue without interruption.”
