[Pee Press Association.! WELLINGTON, August 8. Mr Hoben haa been asked to attend a conference of Australasian Unions in Sydney, to be held on a date convenient to him, in order to give practical effect to his proposals respecting the formation of an Australasian Eugby Union. Mr Campbell, President of the New Zealand Union, who conveyed the proposals to Australia, was informed by a member of the Committee of the English Union who was visiting Sydney, that the proposals would be welcomed in England and that he had no doubt that the extension of the International Board or Committee suggested would be wanted. The proposals will be submitted for the approval of the Unions constituting tho New Zealand Union. In pursuance of the resolution pasted at a public meeting, tho New Zealand Eugby Union is asking tho affiliated Unions to raise small subscriptions amongst players, with the view of presenting tho members of the team with a memento, which will probably take the form of a small gold football, suitably inscribed.
