Drunkenness.— Three first offenders and Susan Malcolm were each fined 5a and costa, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment. Drury, interpleader summons. It was ordered that certain goods seized should be given up to claimant. LYTTELTON. Tuesday, August 8. (Before J. G. Fyfe, Eaq.) Alleged Larceny.— George Hespie was charged with the larceny of a gold watch and chain, locket and photo,, valued at. £l2 10a, the property of Otto Krug, from the steamer Wakatipu; also with stealing a silver watch and chain, value at £1 10s, the property of Emil Krug. Sergeant Rutledge asked for a remand till Friday next, which was granted. KAIAPOI. Tuesday, August 8, (Before Carl Hansen, Esq.) Alleged Larceny. —Mary Roberts, a Maori woman, was charged with the theft of a jacket, the property of Mrs Wakefield, and remand-id till Monday next. EANGIORA. Tuesday, August 8. (Before H. W. Bishop, Bsq„ E.M., and B. E. Good, Esq.) Larceny. —A boy, aged ten, was charged with the larceny of a football cover from the shop of B. Morrall. The Bench, after lecturing the boy, ordered hia father to give him a thrashing in the presence of the constable. Wire Desertion. —Alfred Eouee failed to appear in answer to a charge of deserting hia w'fe, and a warrant was issued for hia arrest.
