Railway Notices. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS AND, FARES FOR GRAND NATIONAL AND HUNT CLUB STEEPLECHASES, AT CHRISTCHURCH, AUGUST 13th akd 15th. ON the 13th and 15th August trains will run from Christchurch to the Racecourse nt 12.10 p.m., 12.40 p.m. and 1.15 p.m., and from the Racecourse to Cimstrhnrch as required from about 4 p.m. up to hal.Vin-honr after the last race. Return fares, including Admission to the Course, from Christchurch 2a 6d first-class, 2s second; from Lyttelton 4s and S 3. .Single fares Racecourse to Christchurch Is 6d and Isl Tickets available for day of issue only. The trains to and from the Rnceconree will not stop at intermediate stations, except the last two trains from tho Racecourse, which will stop at Addington to set down passengers. Ordinary and season tickets, free p tssas, and G.J.C. complimentary tickets are not available by these trains. EXCURSION PARES’TO CHRISTCHURCH. ,: Excursion tickets to Christchurch will he issued at Walnuts and Studholme at 2fle first-cass, 19s second,, on the 12th inst., and at Ximaru and Temuka, nt 20a and 15s, Orari 18a and 13s, on the 12th and for first train on 13th (altered as notified below), all available for return till the 17th. One day excursion tickets to Christchurch will 1 ha issued on the 13th Inst, from Timarn, Ealing and intermediate stations at 9a first-class and 7s second; Hinds, Windermere, Winslow at 8s 6d ■ first das;, 6s 6d second; Tinwald to Bakaia, inclusive, 7s and ss. These tickets will be issued for an excursion train which will run as follows; Timarn depart 7.10 a.m., Wa.shdyke 7.21, Temuka 7.46, Winchester 1 7.58, Orari 8.10, Uangitata 8.27, Hinds 9, Winslow • 9.16, Tinwald 9.28, Ashburton 9.42, Cnertsey 10.13, liakoia 10.27, Dunsaudel 10.54, Helwynll, Burnham 11.15, arriving at Christchurch at 12.10 p.m,, Tho i return train will leave Christchurch at 4.50 p.m., Burnham 5.47, Selwyn 6.8, Dnnsandel 6.16, Kakaia 6.56, Cherteey 7.17, Ashburton 7.55, Tinwald 8.4, Winslow 8.10, Hinds 8.32, Rangitata 9.5, Orari 9.22, Winchester 9.84, Temuka 9.46, arriving at Timtru at 10.20 p.m. This train will convey ordinary passtngers aa well as excuraionists. It will TANK TUB PLACE OP the ordinary 7.25 a,m. train from Timarn to Ashburton, 3.43 p.m. train from Ashburton to Timaru, 7.20 tram from Ashburton to Christchurch, and 4.15 p.m. train from Christchurch to Ashburton, which WILL NOT RUN on the 13th. It will stop if required at all stations where there trains usually stop. The train from Mount Somers bn the 18th will leave Tinwald at 9.SS, and arrive at Ashhnrton at 9.40, and the train from Methven will start at 8,86 a.m., leave Lauriston at 9,32 a.m., and arrive at Bakaia at 10.15 a.m.; both connecting with the excursion train, TRAIN ON LITTLE RIVER LINE ON 13th. On the 13th there will be a Morning Train from Little River to Lincoln as on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, returning at 5.30 p.m., after arrival of train from Christchurch. ON THE 13th and 15th AUGUST the following evening trains from Christchurch and branch trains in connection therewith will run later than time-table times:— DeparErom tare, Buns later p.m, than usual.
