JUNIOR CUP. Midland v. Lancastkn Park.—This game was re-started at Lancaster Park and left in un open and interesting condition. The Prtrk won tbo toss and batted first, scoring 81 (Cooke 83, Wanklyn 14 not out, Johnston 11), The Midland responded with 84 (Gordon 21, Gajty 15, Barry 11, Hay 11). Gordon played a fine innings for his side and was well seconded by Garfcy. Barry captured six wickets for 4fL runs, Frith three for 13 runs. For the Park Bates took five wickets for 23 runs, heading the bowling average, Preece two for 23, and Johnston two for 23. In their second innings the Park made 86 for seven wickets (Bales 27, Cooper 13,‘Cooke 13 not .out), Gordon being credited with six of the seven wickets for 39 runs. The fielding of both tramp at times was good and the wicket played well. St Albans v, Uhted. —This match was concluded at Hag icy Park on Saturday, and after an evenly - contested game, resulted in a win for Sc Albans by 21 runs. Scores—Sf> Albans 153 and 46 (betting one short). G. Horner 79 and 15, Haseli 33 and 6, Snntu 18 and 0. J. W. Horner 14 and 3. United, 111 and 69. Lane 31 and 3, Roas 19 and 15, Longdeu 20 and 5, Hams 15 end 2 (uoc out) and B. Kitto 14 and 0 were tire principal scorers. J. W. Horner, Basel and Lambrrfc bowled well for St Albans, while Wood and Aldred were the moat successful for United.

PRESIDENT’S CUP. Lancaster Park v. Addington.—This match was finisiiecl on Saturday on the ground ot the latter and resulted m a win for the former by seven wickets. Tire chief scorers tor the Park were Hawkins brothers, Bourke and Armitage, as- were Clarkson, Young, Freeman and Ayrey for Addington. The bowling for the Park was good throughout—Steeds six for 13, A. E. Hawkins six for 19 and Steere f</ur for 13. Scores :—Addington, first innings 42, second 60 ; Pars, 74 and 32 for two wickets. . Upper Eicoabton v. St Albans. — Upper Rtccaccou, 149; St Albans, 45 and 4 tor two wickets. The match was won by the former, St Albans failing to put m an appearance on the second day. Sydenham Druids v. Midland No. 2. —This match was finished on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the-Druids by seven wickets. The highest scorers, for the Druids were Round 20 and Forde 6 (not out). Garty bowled well for the Midland, as did Halliday for the Druids. OTHER MATCHES. Ashley County v. United. A mitcli wuh played between teams from the above Clubs at Hagloy Park, and resulted in u win on the first innings for the home team. The U.C.C.C. went in first and placed 148 to their credit, G. Barker 32 and J. Hartland 29 shaping best; Rolleston 20 and Aldred 15 also did well. The County team then went in and put together 118, or 30 runs behind their opponents. E. Good was chief scorer with a hard-hit innings of 86. The U.C.C.C. went in to bat for an hour and a half, and knocked the bowling all over the field. every batsman obtaining double figures. The continuation of the match between the Lancaster Park Eleven v. Fifteen was deferred till next Saturday, and the mem* here of the fifteen indulged in net practice. The return match between the Cast and Ashley Cricket Clubs was played on the ground of the latter on Saturday, and resulted in an easy win for Ashley by an innings and twenty-six runs. The bowlers for Ashley were Banks (2) and Baird, and for Gust, Hodgson, Horroll and Rev Mathias. Scores: Cost 11 and 38, Ashley 75. A game has been arranged at Lancaster Park for Christmas Day between the Park Junior and President’s Cup teams (the latter playing fifteen men), commencing at 9.30 a.m. sharp. The following will represent the Junior Cup:—Allardyce, Bates, Cooper, Lafferfcy, Jackman, Johnston, Pavibt, Preece, Waller, West, Wanklyn and Whittle. Any of the above who are unable to play will kindly let the captain know before Tuesday. AQUATIC. UNION ROWING CLUB. The Trial Double Sculls of this Club was decided at Sumner on Saturday, with the following result:— First heat —A. E. Craddock and H. Macintosh beat A. Dawber and H. Inwood. Won after a good race by three ieuythe. Second heat—S. Marshall and G. Bennington, 1; B. C. Dawe and A. Allan, 2; T. Cooper and J. Murphy, 3. Won easily by four lengths, a similar distance between second and third. Final heat—Craddock and Macintosh beat Marshall and Bonniagton. A splendid race. Marshall led at first, but lost his advantage through a mishap half-a-mila from home. Craddock was enabled to get a slight lead, and it was almost a neek-and-neck race to within fifty yards of the post, when Marshall again had trouble with his rowlock. Craddock finished alone.
