OPENING OP THE NEW RANGE. This range was opened by the President (Hr W. H. Wynn-Williams) firing the first shot at the two hundred yards range, for which he scored a bull’s-eye. The President then spoke in very high terms of the excellent range now at the Club's command, and hoped that the Alpha would bring home some of the prizes to be shot for during the Dunedin Exhibition season. The members partook of a luncheon provided by host Walker. A friendly match was then arranged, between teams chosen by the President and the Club’s captain, which resulted in a win for the President’s team by five points. The following is the score President’s Team: Messrs Waiter st, Ford 79, Scott 80, Harris 62, Wheeler 76 and Howell 63 } total, 4A4. Captain’s Team: King 84, Gray 73, Donnoily 80, Garrard 70, Hardens tie 69, Selby 63; t0ta1,.439.
