AQUATIC.

KAIAPOI SAILING CLUB. The first of this Club’s matches was sailed on Saturday for the Commodore’s prize. Six boats put in an appearance, which were handicapped by the Committee as follows:—Sarah Ann (W. D. Marshall), scr; Fairy (G. H. Blackwell), scr ; Hero (G. M'Allister), 6mm; White Arrow (Parnham Bros.), 3min; Sandfly (Day), Bmin; Dot (J. H. Evans), 4min. The race was won by Mr Marshall’s Sarah Ann, Mr Day’s Sandfly second, Mr Evans’ Dot coming in third. The prize is to be won by points, the first past the post counting three, the second two, the third one; the prize to be won by the first party scoring eight points.
