Moils close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under ■Thursday, March 18. For Australian Colonies, per express train (to connect with s.s. Arawata at Port Chalmers), at; 7.80 am. For N<- rthe n porta, per Te Anan, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard's van, 3.55 p.m. train. Friday, March 19. For Akaroa and Otago, per Waitaki, at 1.59 p m,; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. Foe Chatham Islands, per Island lily, at 9.30 a.m.; guard's van, 10.30 a.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom viJ San Francisco, will be closed at Christoburch on March 27, and will be due in London on May 11. The next mail for the Unite 1 Kingdom, vi& Brindisi, will be closed at Christoburch on Apr! 6, and will be due in London on May 27.
