The ford on the Waiau river has been appointed a crossing place under the Sheep Act; also the ferry on Waiau-ua river known as Arthur’s or Upper Waiau Ferry, the ford or bridge on the Waiau-ua River, opposite the homestead of the Leslie Hills run, the ford or bridge on the Hurunoi Biver, on the Great North road. The Geraldine Eecreatioa Grounds have been brought under the Public Domains Act, and full powers delegated to Messrs Bobert Fish, Fred. Flatmann, David M'JLenzie, Bobert Taylor, and Bobert Pierpoint. One hundred and ten acres of the bed of the river Ashley, Canterbury, have been temporarily reserved. Constable Stephenson has been appointed inspector of weights and measures for Christchurch. THo JByrcton Hoad Board office, Ohoko, Ashley, has been appointed a polling place for the election of members of the Eyreton Bead Board. Mr W. M. Hannay has been appointed Traffic Manager on the Oamaru section of the Amberley-Bloff Bailway.
