MAIL NOTICES.

For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 7 p.m.; guard's van must not be used for Penguin’s mall. , Monday, Oct. 6. For Wanganui, per Wallabi, at 150 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p-m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, vi& San Fanoisco, will close at Christchurch on Oct. 10, and will be due in London on Nov. 25. Note,—On and after Oct. 1, the mail service to Spreydon, HaUwell, Tat Tapu, and Greenpark will be a daily one, closing at Christchurch at 2.30 p.m. Mails from these offices will arrive at Christchurch at 11 a.m. A post-office will be opened at South Malvern, at the store of Mr Griadrod. Mails will oloss at Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., and arrive at Christchurch from .South Malvern at 6.40 p.m. daily. A post-offlee will he opened at the School House, Kowoi Bush. Mails will close at Christchurch each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 6 a,m., and arrive at (.hrlstchnroh on the same day at 6.40 p.m. A post-office will be opened at the railway extension works, Weka Fans, at the store of Messrs Whits and Co. Moils will close at Christchurch daily at 6 a.m«, and arrive in Christchurch daily at 8 p.m.
