Betting: Even on Rory; 3 to 2 against Wee Lad ; 2 to 1 against Blue Peter and Steamer. There was a splendid start. Coming past the Stand the first time, Peter led, with Wee Lad next, and Rory third. At the gates Rory took second place. Coming into the straight Eory came away from the lot, winning easily by four lengths, the rest nowhere. Time, 2min 204 secs.
