The s.s. Beautiful Star, Capt. Christian, rived in Port yesterday morning, at nine o’clock, from Dunedin. She reports leaving Dunedin wharf at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, but, • owing to fog, did not clear the heads till midnight; arrived at Timaru at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and sailed again at 6 p.m, arrivlag S 3 abore j bad fine vesthfir, with haad wind throughout the passage. During her detention at Dunedin, the Beautiful Star was •thoroughly repaired, both in hull and machinery. The Beautiful Star has, since her late accident, received a thorough overhaul, and her passenger accommodation has been greatly improved. Her fore-cabin is now very commodious and comfortable. The • saloon has also received attention, and great • care has been bestowed on the ladies cabin, which is right aft, and quite apart from the ■saloon.
