Public Notices PORT VICTORIA PLOUGHING MATCH. THE Annual Ploughing Mntcli, for the above district, will take place on FRIDAY, the 7th September, on Rev, R, Bradley's Farm, Charteris Bay. THE Lyttclton Municipal Council having struck a rate of Fourpence (4d) in the £ on the existing Rate Roll for 1866, hereby notify that the aforesaid roll is open for inspection at the Council Office, Town Hall, Lyttelton, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, except Saturday, when the office is closed at 2 p.m. If any person whose name shall be on such roll, shall object thereto, on the ground that he has ceased to be liable to be rated in respect of any property for which in such roll he is proposed to be rated, he shall give notice of such objection, and of the grounds thereof, to the Cleric of the Council, three (3) clear days at least before Monday, the 17th September, 1866, upon which day the Council will hear and determine such objections, at 12 o'clock, noon, in the Council Chamber.
