Medals for long and faithful service were bestowed on Sergeant John Crowder, Privates James Furlong, and Joseph Greensmith, of the 65th Regiment, this day (Friday, 20th March), by Lt. Colonel Young,; who addressed the recipients in the following words on parade:—"ln the absence of Colonel Wyatt, commanding.the Begiment, it becomes my pleating duty to present to each of you a medal for long and faithful service; wear them with pride and honor to yourselves, and in after life, when you have retired from Her Majesty's service, Met your medal* remind you of your long service in the 65t& Begi" — Ibid.
