Post Office, Lytteltori, 26th November, 1856. FTIENDERS will be received at this office j JLuntil noon on Saturday the 13th December for the conve3*ance of a mail between Lyttelton and Christchurch, and the delivery of letters, daily, for fifteen months from the Ist January, 1857The Mail to start from Christchurch daily, (except on Sunday,) at 9 o'clock, a.m., conveying letters and newspapers for delivery at the Post Office, Lyttelton, and an open oag, containing letters and newspapers, for delivery to persons living within the Town of Lyttelton, and on the roadside along the lino of route. Another mail to start from Lyttelton, daily, (except on Sundays,) at 3 o'clock, p.m., carrying letters and newspapers for delivery at the Post-Office, Chrisichurch, and an open bag, containing letters and newspapers for delivery to persons living within the town of Christchurch, arid on the road side along tho line of route. All letter and papers to be delivered on the day they are* received, either afc the respective . Post-offices, or at the residences of the persons to whom they are addressed. The contractor "will not be allowed to carry any letter?, or newspapers, except those which have passed through the Post-Office, or which are to be delivered at the next Post office. The contractor will have to find two sureties i for the performance of his contract. i Penalties for breach of contract will be enforced hy deductions from the amount due to i the contractor. The contractor will have to find two sureties for the performance of his contract. Penalties for breach of contract will be anforced by deductions from the amount due to the contractor.
