IVuuc Notice. TIMBER CUTTING LICENSES. WHEREAS it has been represented to the -Commissioners of the Waste Lauds Board that parties are unlawfully cutting timber on Bonks' Peninsula, Talbot and Hw<rwood forests, and other parts of the province, NOTICE is kehehy given, that any person found cutting timber on any of the Waste lands of the Crown, without a license previously obtained,' from this Board, will be proceeded against in pursuance of the Regulations now in force within this province. A SALE of Town Lands in the above towns, will take place at the Land Office at Christchurch, at noon, on Monday, the 19th January, 1557. -. Maps of both Towns may be seen at the Land Office. A map of the town of Akaroa may also be seen on application to the Resident Magistrate at Akaroa, after the first of December next. A map of the Town of Timaru may also be seen at the Survey Office, Talbot Forest. Persons wishing to have sections put up to auction on the above day must apply to the Waste Lands Board, on or before the 29th December, 1856, and pay to the Treasurer a Deposit of 10 per cent, of the upset price.
