The Christchurch Cup; handicap, entrance £4, with one third of the racing fund added, (after the expenses of the course, &c. are deducted.) Twice round the course, over sissets of hurdles 3ft. 9in. high ; weights will be published on Saturday, Dec. 10. Acceptances to be declared by 6 p. m. on Tuesday the 13tb. 2d. Race, at Ip.m. Open for all horses not entered for the Christchurch Cup, or the Anniversary Plate; entrance, £1, with one sixth of the race fund added, &c. Heats, once round, catch weights. 3rd. Race, at 3p. m. The Anniversary Plate, open for all horses : entrance, £4, with one third of the racing fund added, Sec. Heats, twice round. Weights, 3 yrs. old, Bst. 61b.; 4 yrs. 9st. 61b.; 5 yrs. lOst. ; 6 yrs. lOst. 41b ; aged, lOst. 71b. 4th. Race, at sp. in. Consolation Plate, for horses beaten in any of the above races, to be handicapped by the Committee; enUrance, £2, with one sixth of the racing fund added, &c. Twice round. For the Christchurch Cup and Anniversary Plate, entries must be made to Mr. J. T. Brown on or before 8 p. m. on Wednesday, December the 7th. Post entries for the other two races. In all cases three horses to start, or the public money will not be given. Second horse to save his entrance. N.B. Jockeys carrying more than 21b. over weight must declare the same at least half an hour before the race, or they will be considered distanced, even if they win. It is requested that all Subscriptions may be paid to the Treasurer, or to Messrs. Gartner and Ellis, as soon as possible, in order that the amount may be published on Saturday, December the 10th. Subscriptions already promised £130. LOST, A SMALL BOX, painted dark Brown -£*- or Black, containing a Work Box, quantity of Muslins, &c, with owner's name marked thereon. Apply at the Office of this Paper. FIFTEEN POUNDS REWARD. "TVTOTICE is hereby given, that any per- -*~* son or persons cutting down and removing Timber from, damaging the fencing, or otherwise unlawfully trespassing on, Brenchley Farm, Lyttelton, will be prosecuted according to law. A reward of £5 will lie paid to any one giving such information as may lead to the apprehension of such offenders; and a further reward of will be paid on conviction. A. J. Ajlport, Lyttelton. Wood & Chisnell's Itun, Two P?u!locks partly broken in, Bow and Arrow Brand : one nearly all White with a Red Spot cm the near side of the neck, and wide cocked up horns; the other, Red and White, when lost was marked with Tar on the top of tail. Any one delivering the same at the Golden Fierce Hotel, Christchurch, or Sawyer's Anns, Papanui. wili receive the above reward. Any one giving information of the above will be rewarded. FIVE SHILLINGS REWARD. X HATHKR.—LOST, on Tuesday, a -" French Calf Skin, between Mr. Allen's, Ferry road, and Mr. Bishop's Store, Christ, church ; whoever will deliver the same to MrK'ves, Baker, Christchurch, or Mr. Hutchiusun, LytteHoUj shall receive the above tewurd.
