o Weekly Market Report. Strooßch, Morris and Co.. Ltd., report (or week ended Thursday. 35th May, as follows : Fat Cattle 191 yarded, consisting chiefly of bullocks cf good quality. Although it was a large yarding, prices were about the same as last week. Quotations : Beet bullocks £l6 to £18; extra to £24; medium £l4 10s to £ls 10s ; best cows and heifers £l2 10s to £l4 15b; extra to £l7 10s; medium £8 10s to £lO 10s; others 16 10s to £B. Fat Sheep.—36sl penned. A largo yarding of good quality. Competition was keen, and prices were a little better than last week’s rates: There were some pens of extra show sqeep to hand, lor which there was keen competition and extreme prices were paid. Best wethers 32s to 345; extra show sheep 50s to 110s ; medium to good 28s to 30s 6d ; light 22a to 24b 6d ; prime ewes 30s to 34s ; extra 72a ; good 27s to 28s 6d ; medium 21s to 22s 6d. p Fat Lambe.—ll43 penned. Prime lines of velvet and Tuscan are saleable to millers, but medium lines have no demand at all except as fowl feed. Good whole fowl wheat is still offering very freely, and is bard to place. Prime milling velvet 5s Id io 5s 2d; prime milling Tuscan 4s 3d to 4s 6d; best whole fowl wheat 3s XOd te 4s; medium 3s 6d to 3s 9d per bushel (sacks extra), Chaff.—There is not a very keen demand, and the quantity coming forward is sufficient to supply present requirements. Only prime quality is in favor with buyers, and light and discolored lines are not readily dealt with, even at lace rates Quotations Best oaten sheaf £3 10s to £3 15s; medium to good £3 to £3 7s 6d per ton (sacks extra). Potatoes Fair supplies are coming forward, and any lines in good sound condition are saleable at late values. Best table potatoes £5 to £5 ss; medium to good £4 10a to £4 15s per ton (sacks in).
