SYDNEY'S ELECTRIC TRAM SYSTEM.

SYDNEY, September 13. 'the electric tram system is completely dislocated owing to a sudden increase of pressure at the Ultimo power-house. The first intimation was a sudden crushing noise and a blinding flashlight. The switchboard was destroyed by the flames, which, spread to the roof. The lire, however, was quickly extinguished. All trams within a radius of seven miles are stopped. A steam motor will he utilised to-day, and until the necessary repairs are executed.
