GRAND IRISH CONCERT.

St. Patrick's night wa3 celebrated in Queenstown by a grand Irish concert, which was given in the Garrison Hall. The attendance was very good, considering the short notice given. Before the concert opened, the Qu»eiiStown Band played a number of selections in front of the Hall. The Band also opened the concert with a selection of Irish airs. This was followed by the chorus, " The harp," by the pupils of the Queenstown convent schools. " Fairy voices," was very nicely rendered by the infants attending the kindergarten. A pianoforte solo, " Echos from the Green Isle," was brilliantly played by Miss Carr. Mr J. C. M'Bride gave a song in his usual good style. The floral fan dance by Misses May, Firth, Can, and Douglas was a very pleasing item, and "La dause Dresdine du Lac d'Argent," by the same young ladies was also very well done. Chorus, " Starlight on the quiet river," pupils. Mr D. Ferry recited " Fountenoy" in fine style. The first part was brought to a close with a song by Miss Robertson, for Which she was deservedly applauded. The Rev. Father O'Donnell then came forward and thanked the audience for their attendance, and the performers for their efforts". The second part was opened by the Convent pupils singing the chorus, " When the wind bloweth in from the sea." "The Washington Post" was played as a pianoforte quartette by Misses Firth, Jopp, Carr, and Douglas. Mr C. Robertson was applauded for his song. The pianoforte duet, " Silver trumpets," by the Misses Firtb was very nicely Miss L. Hotop sang " Call me back," very sweetly. Masters M'Mullen, Ferry, Firth, and Bonner danced a hornpipe in a very graceful manner,* while a musical selection by Miss Gudgeon was very well played. The singing of " St. Patrick's day " by the Convent pupils brought a very enjoyable entertainment to a close.
