The Sandhills dredge is about to itart work again. The return from the Sew Big Beech -ompany’s two dredges for last week yas 89oz 12dwt. By the lonic there arrived this week n Wellington Mr Leo Myers, repreenting a South African syndicate, vhich is looking for good investments n Australia and New Zealand. Mr Idyers states that capital can be found oany amount, but nothing but genuine >ayable property will be looked at. le goes to where he will be oinedbyßascoe, mining expert, who will eport on properties offered to the synicate. An Auckland telegram 'states that be Maoriland mine, Kuaotunu, has leen sold in London on the company’s etnas. The Waitekauri return from the Jolden Cross section only for the four reeks ending 28th March was 6740z ;old from 136 tons ore crushed. The Hauraki, at Coromandel, cleaned ip last week for the excellent return of lli9oz lOdwt gold, worth £3 per tunce. The Kapai-Vermont, Kuaotunu, rushed 330 tons for 4700z. Mr David Ziman, who some mouths go visited the West Coast in the inerosts of a Home company, has rcurned to the colony, and proceed# at moe to Reefton.
