WEEKLY MARKET REPORT. Messrs Mobitzson and Hopkin, auctioneers, wool, stock and station, grain, produce, and . commission agents, corner Bond and Jetty streets, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for the week. All quotations subject to market fluctuations • Wool: Our sales came off on the 27th. "In all 1903 bales were catalogued. There was a good attendance of buyers. Prices were on a par with last sales, with exception of merinos, which wore a little better. Crown Sheep Dip, 5s 6d per gallon in 5 gallon drum ; 5s in larger quantities. Wheat: The new crop is now off ring at Prime velvet and Tuscan, 3s lOd to 3s 1 Id, new crop ; red chaff 3s 8d to 3s lOd. The demand for wheat at our sales has been good. Oats : Prime milling and bright plump feed Is 8d to Is 9d ; ordinary feed. Is 7d to is Sd; off color, la 6d. The market is easier. Samples of new crop from the north are to hand. Barley: Taken up for milling and feed purposes at from 2s 4d to 2s 8d ; malting, if prime, 3s 6d to 3a lOd, with good demand. Mr Moritzsou, who is now amongst the barley growers, will personally explain position. The crop (outside your district) in N.Z is small and short. Australian buyers have already made purchases andsevcrallincshave also been shipped to Canterbury aud the North Island. We think your barley will run from 3s 6d to 4s 3d here. We had several lots offered already from Oamuru for thin skinned quality for which 3a 9J hj is been asked on trucks north, which buj'ers are not prepared to give. Hops, 7d to 7 id. Flour, L 1 0; oatmeal, LIO; pearl barley, Ll2; bran, L 3 10s; pollard, L 4. Potatoes: Kidneys, L 3 ; Derwents, L 3.

Omff: Prime quality up to £2 17s 6.1 ; Pressed hay, £3 to £3 5= ; pressed straw, 35s to 40s. Ryegrass: Best machine-dressed 3a 6d to 5s 6d ; undressed, 2s to 3s 2d Cocksfoot; Town machined, 4£d to 5d farmers’ riddled, 3d to 3§d. Linseed, £8 10s to £9. We receive rabbits kins, hides, sheepskins, and tallow, and return highest market values. Hides wanted from 7s 6d to 12s 6d each, or 2d to 2Jd per lb ; extra heavy, up to 3-Jd. We hold regular weekly sales. Cornsacks, seed sacks, woolpacks, and seaming and binder twine in stock and supplied at lowest rates. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT Butter : Salt, we have sale for all good lots ; prime quality, in good demand at 7d to 7£d ; medium, at 5d to 6d. Egos : Can dispose of any quantity at top market rates. Cheese : Prime factory, 4d net. Akaroa, 3Jd. Onions ; Bs. Pigs ; 2Jd to 3d per lb for good quality of right sizes. Fruit t Regular shipments arriving from Tasmania, Sydney, and the Islands. Quotations on application. Tahiti Oranges, D and E, are landed by us weekly. To stockraisers we recommend the Imperial Calf Food. Circulars on application.
