Kaukapakapa Ladies' Shakespeare Society.

Most appropriately on the 12 th night of December, the above Society gave a reading of •< Twelth Night." Mr and Mrs Robnit Drinnan kindly provided accommodation, and an enjoyable evening was spent. M.rs Jordan as " Viola,'' gave a scholarly performance, and Miss Sinclair made a charming and dignified " Olivia." The fun was provided by Mrs Goodwin, as «4 Festo, the Clown " ; Mrs Sinclair as "Sir Toby Belch"; Mrs Koller, as " Sir Andrew Aguecheek"; Miss Henley as '• Fabian " and Mrs Frank Stewart as " Maria." Mrs Robert Drinnan took the part of the ill used 11 Malvolio " capitally, and Miss Ross spoke well and clearly as "Duke Orsino." The minor parts were all taken.

The Shakespeare Society meets again in April. .
