Reports reaching the Spanish frontier indicate that General Franco has taken extraordinary measures to prevent a dispute between the Falangists and the military leaders from flaring up in to serious disorder. A decree prohibits all public meetings. Noncommissioned officers demobilised after the war have been recalled to the colours. Evidence is accumulating that General Franco is facing a serious situation as a result of a bid for power by various elements.
