There is no force which affects people to a greater extent than advertising, according to Mr. P. B. Levy, who gave an address to the Canterbury Advertising Club last week. Countries operating under dictatorships, he said, realised the value of publicity, and Dr. Goebbels, the German Minister of Propaganda, was the powerful advertising manager for Hitler, Ltd. At this stage, however, Mr. Levy remarked that he wished to deal with the more pleasant side of advertising, and went on to his talk about "The Planned Advertising Cam- I paign." • i
