HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:—■ Sheep.—At Frankton Sale on the sth inst. fat sheep were penned in smaller numbers, especially was this so with fat ewes, which sold at firmer rates. Wethers showed no alteration on last week's rates. Cattle.—Ox beef was penned in medium numbers, competition was not so keen and prices were 3s per head lower than those ruling last week. Cow and heifer beef came forward in usual numbers, the quality in most cases not being up to standard. Prices here were also lower than last week's rates. Three pens of store "Friesian cows and heifers met with good competition. A small entry of vealers, with prices lower. Pigs.—A heavy yarding of fat pigs was. again penned. Values throughout remained very firm, particularly for good quality medium weights, which advanced in prices. Heavy baconers and light porkers ( also sold readily at late values. A medium yarding of stores and weaners met with a brisk sale, and an all round advance on last sale has to be reported. Quotations: Heavy shorn wethers 23s 6d to 24s 3d; medium 22s to 22s 6d; heavy shorn ewes to 20s 3d; medium 17s to 18s 3d; shorn hoggets 20s 9d to 21s 9d; woolly fat hoggets 275; store woolly hoggets 22s 6d to. 23s 3d.
