Safe and Sound Through Prosperity and Adversity New Zealand has experienced its years of prosperity and its years of adversity, but its progress and have been remarkable. Throughout the history of the Dominion the Banks have assisted development and served the Public faithfully and welJ. There are people who advocate changes in the Dominion's banking system, but It must be accepted that no new system will survive which is not operated along sound, fair and efficient lines. It is because the public have faith in the integrity of the Banks that they entrust their funds to them, knowing from experience that the Banks will not betray that trust. In the future, as in the past, the Banks will adapt themselves wherever necessary to any changes that may occur in the development of industry and commerce whether local or international.
