A, Wilson moved that the town clerk get into communication with local bodies in the King Country to ascertain if they are in agreement to petition Parliament to. grant a referendum for King Country electors to vote on the question of Commissioner liquor licensing control in the King Country. Cr. Wilson contended that the people of the King Country should have this right to a referendum. Cr. Steadman seconded • the proposal. It was time something was done in the matter.
