PERUVIAN REVOLUTION
EXECUTION OF FORTY-FOUR MEN OVER 100 CONDEMNED. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 11.45 a.m.) Lima, Peru, August 1. The Government announced to-day that 44 men were executed on Wednesday at Trujilio for participating in the revolt there early last month. The men were convicted at a courtmartial, and taken out and lined up on trenches they themselves had dug around the city, and shot. One hundred and one were condemned death but 57 have not yet been taken into custody.
