There appears to be'an increasing demand for good dairying land in the Eltham, Kaponga, Mangatoki and Matapu districts in Taranaki. Judging by recent sales, buyers prefer land of best quality and are prepared to pay a reasonable price for such. A 98 acre farm with a carrying capacity of 60 cows was sold last week and the price was in the vicinity of £SO and £55 per acre. A fair cash deposit was made on the deal.
