TE KUITI CYCLING CLUB

FOUR-MILE HANDICAP. WON BY J. SANDERSON. The usual weekly race of the Te Kuiti Cycling Club was held on Saturday, the distance being four miles. A good field faced the starter and the race was run under ideal conditions. The first home was J. Sanderson, who, though he has been a member of the Club for a considerable time, has not raced very often. L. Gyde, another old member, was second, being closely followed by F. Smith, who, in taking third place, showed he is a tryer, this being his third placing in three races.

Fastest time honours were gained by Doug. Watson, who covered the distance in 10 mins., beating Scottie Peterson by six seconds. Peterson had the bad luck to fall, and it is to his credit that he came on so fast to be just beaten in such a short distance.

Next Saturday's race will more than likely be run over the same course.
