SOUTH SEA TORNADO
PLANTATION SUFFER SEVERELY. THREE THOUSAND NATIVES DESTITUTE. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) Sydney, this day. News from Noumea says that a severe tornado on 24th February caused great damage to the plantations'in the New Hebrides, especially at Epi Island, where nearly three thousand natives are destitute. New Caledonia also suffered extensively, many agricultural areas being ravaged.
