A BURNS MANUSCRIPT.
POEMS LEFT IN BEDROOM. By the will of the late Miss Louisa Lawrie, Killearn, Scotland, the manuscript of the poem by Robert Burns beginning, "O Thou in whom we live and move," has been handed over to the trustees of the National Library of Scotland. The verses were written during the poet's visit to the
house of the Rev. Dr. George Lawrie, minister of London, great-grandfather of Miss Lawrie. Burns, before his anticipated ' departure for Jamaica, spent a pleasant evening with the minister and his family, and left the poem in his bedroom on the following morning to mark his appreciation of their kindness.
