MAGISTRATE’S COURT

SITTING TO-DAY. A short sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at Te Kuiti to-day, Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., being on the Bench Separation. An order for separation and maintenance and guardianship of children was made in favour of Iris McKenzie against her husband, Wilfred McKenzie. Respondent was ordered to pay £1 a week, 10/- a week for the wife and 10/- for the three children, the amount of the order to be increased when respondent’s position improves. The grounds of the application were neglect of applicant and failure to maintain. Respondent said he was working at a mill at Waimiha. He was in receipt of 48/- a week and paid 23/6 a week board in addition to 5/- a month whare rent. Respondent said his wife would not come back to him when he asked her to. Judgment by Default. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following civil actions: — .
