Mr. Ramsay MacDonald visited Mr. Lloyd George at Churt this morning to discuss the political situation. This is regarded as a final effort to end the deadlock between the two leaders on the fiscal policy.. Mr. MacDonald’s decision to visit Mr. Lloyd George following an interview with Sir Herbert Samuel, who called at No. 10, Downing Street, after visiting Mr. Lloyd George himself. It is reported that Mr. Lloyd George has adopted an unyielding attitude on the tariff question. MR. MACDONALD’S SEAT. LABOUR NOMINATES 10 CANDIDATES. (Press Association. —Copyright.) Received 9.40 a.m.) London, October 5. Ten Labour candidates have been nominated for the Seaham constituency, including Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, Mr. Bloomfield and five miners. The final endorsement of the candidates rests with the national executive of the Labour Party.
