OWING TO GREAT BRITAIN.

FURTHER SUSPENSION OF GOLD STANDARD. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 11.45 a.m.) London, September 24. The Chancellor, Mr. Philip Snowden, in the House of Commons, when replying to Mr. Wise's question regarding the extent of the national deflbt, said £1,000,000,000 was owing to Britain by Russia, and nobody could render a greater service to the country than Mr. Wise if he could induce his Bolshevist friends to pay a year's interest thereon.
