GAOL FOR HANGING CAT
Henry Thomas Hawton, of-Can-non Street, Shirley, Southampton, England, who stated that he hanged a cat which came into his house and fought his cat, was at Southampton fined £lO and £1 16s. costs, or six weeks' imprisonment. Hawton, who denied cruelty, said he could not pay, and must go to prison.
