The weather is overcast and there is a good attendance at the Whangjarei Racing Club’s Spring meeting. Results : SPRING PLATE. I—Bombarder1 —Bombarder (8.9) 1 4 Roman Pearl (7.10) 2 B—Big Bertha (7.9) 3 Scratched: Pellette. Won by half a length, length and a-half between second and third. Time, lm 19s. HAUNUI HURDLES. I—Golden Wedding (10.6) 1 3—Adjuster (9.0) 2 5 Serang (9.0) 3 Scratched: Sea Comet, Mountain Guide. Won by twelve lengths each way. Time, 3.7 2-5. WHANGAREI GOLD CUP. B—Sir Archie (7.0) 1 7 —Thursby (7.0) 2 I—High Pitch (8.3) 3 Scratched: Maori Boy, Liason. Won by two lengths, two and a-half between second and third.
