THE MELBOURNE CUP.
NEXT TUESDAY'S RACE.
NEW ZEALAND'S CHANCE ROSY
Tho Melbourne Cup will be run at Fleming-ton next Tuesday, and the field will not be an unwieldy one for on'y 16 remain in. New Zealand stables will be represented by Nightmarch, Paquito, and Phar Lap, and it is confidently predicted .that one or more of these brilliant gallopers will be in at the death. In addition to these horses there is Second Wind, bred by Mr T. H. Lowry, at Okawa. Phar Lap is at. a very short price and on recent form his chances appear particularly rosy. Nightinarch has done all that has been asked of him and has demonstrated that see the journey out whatever the gloing.
