Fall, former Secretary of State for the Interior, was convicted of accepting a bribe of 100,000 dollars in connection with oil and land leases which he denied at the new trial. Mr. Justice Hitz sentenced Fall to one year's imprisonment and imposed a fine of 100,000 dollars.
