STOCK SALE REPORTS

TE KUITT. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual stock sale at Te Kuiti on Wednesday, the *l4th April. There was a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. Prices for sheep were much bettor, but cattle sold at late rates. Quotations:— Good b.f. mixed sex 2-tooths made 20s. others 17s 4d, good woolly w.f. lambs 14s Gd to 15s Gd, medium woolly w.f. lambs 12s to 13s Gd, small b.f. lambs 9s Gd to lis Gd, fair shorn lambs 12s Gd, aged ewes (low condition) 12s. MATIERE. At Matiere on Friday, the lGtli, there was a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. Competition was good throughout and the bulk of the yarding changed hands at prices above last sale. Quotations: — Good 2-tooth wethers made 235, fair m.s. woolly lambs 14s, fat cows £3 10s to £5, small fat steers £8 ss, good 3£-year steers £G 5s to £7. TAIHAPE. Messrs Abraham and. Williams, Ltd., report on their Taihape sale on 15th inst. as follows:—We had a good yarding of 1400 sheep and 50 cattle. There was a good enquiry for sheep, especially lambs, and we had a total clearance, but cattle were hard to sell. Wo quote:— Fat wethers 255, forward ewes 12s 3d, ewes v.w. R. rams 16s Id to 19s Gd. good wether lambs to 16s Id, m.s. lambs 15s to lGs 4d, medium lambs lis 2d to 14s 6d, small do 6s to 8s Id, weaner pigs 15s Gd, empty heifers 27s Gd to £2 4s, forward do £3 14s, run cows 20s to £2 155.. FEILDING Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Feilding sale held on Friday, 16th inst., as follows.—We had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. A specially good line of 875 lambs from Mr A. R. Bartlett, Kimbolton, attracted keen competition. We quote : Sheep.—Fat wethers 21s 9d, fat ewes 15s Gd to 20s, fat b.f. ewes 235, fat lambs 10s Id to 21s. fat and forward ewes lis 3d, 250 lambs ac. Mr A. R. Bartlett, 18s 2d, 520 wether lambs on ac. of same vendor, 17s 4d, other wether lambs 10s to 15s, 2tooth ewes 22s 9(1, -1 anil 6-tooth ewes 20s hi, -1 and 5-year ewes 21s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a very good yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday, the 16th inst. Our yarding comprised 2424 sheep and 220 head of cattle. There was a good attendance and an improved tone in the market, especially for wethers and good lambs. At Mr C. S. Davis' sale on Friday there was a fair atendance and good competition. There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle at the Tc Kuiti stock sale on Wednesday.
