HANDICAP PAIRS FINAL.

CLOSING THE SEASON

' The final of the handicap pairs coinpetition was played on the Te Kuiti Bowling Club's greens on Saturday, in the semi-final Teasdale and Hamlin 30, had defeated Munn and McLeod 20. The winners then played Roberts and Griffiths for the honours of the competition, the latter pair proving victorious by 28 to 20. In the ordinary draw games, Mortensdn, Drake, Kiernan and Walsh (s) 21, defeated O'Connell, Schumacher, Hitchcock, and Andrew (s) 17; Henderson, Ranger, Passau and Smith (s) dee fated Feran, Bryden, Browne and Holah (s) 14 On Saturday three rinks from the Te Awamutu Club will visit Te Kuiti to plajy local representatives for the King Country Cup. The official closing day will be held on Thursday, and on a night to be fixed next week a smoke concert to wind up the season will be held. Presentations will he made to retiring members.

To-morrow the Croquet Club will receive a visit from 12 ladies from Te Awamutu when griendly matches will be played.
