TE KUITI PUBLIC LIBRARY.

On Thursday night next the first of a series of winter socials will be held in the Municipal Hall in order to raise funds to purchase books for the local library. These socials should be well supported, for it must be obvious to the reading public of Te Kuiti that the book shelves in the library are sadly depleted. Both the library and the reading room should be run on a scale more commensurate with the size of the town and its growing needs, and it is to be hoped that the citizens will give the support that this object so worthily deserves.
