OBITUARY.
MR E. H. PETHERICK. News was received at Te Kuiti on Thursday of the death of Mr E. H. Petherick, at Helensburg, New South Wales. Mr Petherick left Te Kuiti for Australia rather more than a year ago, and had been engaged in newspaper work at Waega Wagga until recently, when he removed to Helensburg for health reasons. He was attacked with pneumonia and died after a few days' illness. The late Mr Petherick arrived at Te Kuiti about four years ago, and started business as a stationer. He was a keen bowler, and represented Te Kuiti at tournaments on more than one occasion. When he disposed ot his business some eighteen months ago and went to Australia he left Mrs Petherick and family at Te Kuiti, where they remain, with the exception of the son, who iB at present in Australia.
