AFFLUENT CARDINAL.
LEAVES £40,000. Rome, Saturday. The will of the late Cardinal Rompolla has been found. It is dated 1899, and in it he leaves £40,000 to his sister. Probate has not yet been granted, owing to impending litigation by the Princess Altieri, wife of the Cardinal's nephew. The princesa, who is living apart from her husband, claims that there is a later will in favour of her sons, for whom she is guardian. The search has, however, hitherto proved fruitless.-
