Guatav Hamel and Cbanteloup, flying at the Hendon Aerodrome, looped the loop and performed other tricks in tha air in the face of a gala blowng at the rate of .aixty miles an our. The dispaly was witnessed by a huge crowd of people. Hamel, who is not yet thirty years of age, and is one of the most daring English flyers, nearly met with disaster through a gust of wind overthrowing his machine as it touched the ground. Another aviator named Hucks won a wager at Aintree, near Liverpool, in a gale blowing at fifty miles an hour.
