REPAIRING THE CABLES.
EASTERN EXTENSION COMPANY. By Telegraph.— Press Association. — Copyright Received Tuesday, 11.55 p.m. Sydney, Tuesday.' The Eastern Extension Company's cable steamer, Patrol, has arrived from Singapore with three hundred miles of new cable aboard. She sails on Saturday to overhaul and repair the La Perouse and Nelson cables. She picks up the cable two days out, thence overhauls to within three hundred miles of the New Zealand oast.
