Solomon, the consignor of Ihe .Uir.o,ooo necklace, which Was Btolrn in the post between Paris and Hull on Garden at the beginning of llrs month, against Maitre Comfy, a hnrrialer for offering him £20,000 to Rive information'aß to the whereabout* of the missing property. "Le Matin" stated that a representaiive of Lloyd's offered Maitre Comfy £60,000 to find the jewellery. Received Tuesday, 11.10 p.m. Paris, Tuesday.
Maitre Comfy alleges M. Solomon proposed that Comfy should act ai intermediary in the restoration of the necklace. He declares he obtained a written promise of a reward of £OOOO. Solomon's share was to be £20,000.
