The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has declared an interim dividend of 5 per cent, on its preference stock. The new Commonwealth PostmasterGeneral, Mr Agar Wynne, has decided to abolish the postage stamp with the Kangaroo on it, as adopted by the Fisher Government. Mr Wynne considers that the stamp is a ridiculous one, and makes Australia the laughing stock of the civilised world. The stamp to take its place will show the bust of the King, with a kangaroo on the one side and an amu on the other, and the Australian coat of arms.
